Our main aim is to support excellence in our field, exchange ideas and build up a reputation for our work through exhibitions. Manchester Jewellers Network provides a forum for emerging jewellers to develop and show new work and an incentive for established contemporary jewellers to extend their ranges and take on fresh challenges.

Through exhibitions we develop the profiles of designers in the region and raise awareness regarding handmade work currently available to commission and buy. The group represents an opportunity for designers to promote work in a broad range of materials such as gold, silver, rubber, perspex, glass, plastic, nylon, resin and wood.

Rather than functioning as a commercial association, MJN is primarily concerned with the promotion of exciting and innovative contemporary jewellery. To these ends, each group exhibition features exclusive new designs from each contributing member. We aim to exhibit in outlets accessible to culturally diverse audiences and to open up new venues for the display of our work both nationally and internationally.

We currently have the fabulous Manchester Art Gallery as one of our outlets. We have a changing showcase of members’ work available in the Shop between the Atrium and the Cafe. The jewellery designers and their collections in the showcase change three times each year in January, May and September, so you can always find new designs and great gifts or treats to purchase; some of these designs are exclusive to Manchester Art Gallery Shop.
